Sarah is a prominent member of the Smith Currie Oles Federal Government Contracting team who operates out of our Washington D.C. and Charlotte offices. Her experience includes representing contractors and subcontractors performing projects for the United States government both domestically and abroad.Sarah provides her clients with legal advice throughout all stages of construction projects including contract review and negotiation, risk management, project counsel, performance reviews (CPARs), claims preparation, and complex litigation. Specifically, Sarah has extensive alternative dispute resolution and trial experience before numerous state and federal courts, arbitration tribunals, and boards of contract appeals.Sarah’s experience includes representation of domestic and international construction contractors and subcontractors on major and mega transit projects, nuclear and solar power projects, heavy civil projects, and infrastructure projects, among others.Sarah has significant experience with all project delivery models, including public-private partnerships (P3) and design-build and represents contractors in matters involving changes, schedule delays and acceleration, defects, differing site conditions, payment disputes, and contract suspensions and terminations.Sarah also advises contractors and subcontractors on state, local, and private construction projects, including transit, heavy civil, commercial, and mixed-use facilities. Her current and former clients include the full range of stakeholders including Fortune 500 and S&P 500 companies.
