I then worked with the wider communications team to draft the airport's response as well as logistics and health and safety instructions ahead of the action to ensure the airport continued to run smoothly.➢ Collaborated with airport partners to promote commercial news and retail events such as new routes, airline seat sales and Duty Free sales.➢ Supported the Executive team with top down communications, this included writing speeches on their behalf for events, drafting the annual end-of-year message for the CEO and financial updates for the CFO with tailored versions for airport colleagues and partner companies.➢ Led on the planning and delivery of a large behavioural change program to introduce agile working after the pandemic. By collaborating across departments I created communications which clarified company policies and encouraged a gradual return to work.➢ Participated in daily departmental meetings as well as out-of-hours, on call shift rotas.

➢ Collaborated with event partners to produce press releases, social media and website content to promote London’s world-renowned outdoor events (with over 50,000 daily attendees).➢ Draft the supporting narrative for senior leaders when requesting higher capacity event licenses for Hyde Park - this was granted and gives the charity an additional £3 million/year income in ticket sales.➢ Supported the Head of Events at community meetings to explain event logistics.➢ Managed a junior officer to plan content, assess their written work for accuracy and support with their development.

➢ Protected the airport’s reputation by managing relationships with the media, briefing senior colleagues prior to interview and regularly testing the crisis communication strategy.➢ Produced engaging and accurate press releases and managed the airport’s website and social media accounts, driving engagement successfully to these channels. ➢ Collaborated with airline partners to promote destinations, this included successfully leading a number of international press trips.➢ Wrote award submissions on behalf of the airport, this resulted in the communications department being awarded 'PR and Marketing Team of the Year' at the Routes Europe conference.

➢ Communications lead for a business change campaign involving the companywide introduction of agile working for 10,000 office based colleagues across the West Midlands. ➢ Created digital user guides ahead of the roll out of Skype for Business and new laptops to assist all colleagues with adopting agile working practices.➢ Produced content for a new website dedicated to the project, this included agile working videos, blogs from the CEO and HR director and written guidance to assist colleagues with adopting new ways of working.
