Allocating manpower for materials handling processes within an assigned area. Daily schedule creation and ensuring process capabilities and equipment availability ahead of shift start. Frequently required to investigate issues within processes and then countermeasure problems (simple or complex) so that team members can maintain just-in-time delivery as well as ensuring safety and quality.Experience conducting Group Leader duties as a substitute when the regularly assigned group leader was absent; this included FMDS board updates, Workplace Inspections, Safety Concentration, versatility planning and manpower allocation, daily scheduled audits and process confirmation to ensure Team Member safety and compliance.

"Women Influencing and Impacting Toyota" (WIIT) facilitates the planning of activities and active engagement of females in the workforce. Recently realigned to include all North American affiliates, this group aims to bring likeminded people together to create a positive presence and impact through networking and mentoring one-on-one, within the company, and in our communities.As Development Coordinator, I lead the planning and implementation of activities which focus on supporting the advancement of women. Two examples of initiatives I proposed and led, were a plant-wide collection of personal care items for a local women’s crisis centre, and arranging to have Conestoga College teach an all-female Small Tools Training Session at the Lexus plant.

Selected to work as part of a small, specialized team that was developed specifically to write the job instructions for each process within TMMC’s Lexus Materials, based on process design information from the Project Management for our area. After the processes were created in Toyota’s own Element Instruction Sheets, we then implemented a training program for all of our Team Members. Team Members are trained and certified to meet both Lexus and ISO 9001 standards.
