Assistance in the bid preparation and development of European projects in the energy sector; financial modelling; participation in the due diligence process; interface with external advisors; preparation and review of projects’ bidding documents; preparation of reports to Meridiam’s board and investors.

Ventilation Surveys : take air readings in intakes, returns, ventilation splitsand in the immediate vicinity of shafts.Environmental Compliance Inspections: conduct inspections in theabsence of the environmental officer, which includes liaising with the localcommunity.Compliance: create a database of internal and external accidents.Crew work: work underground on crew in longwall (Mandalong) and bordand pillar (Myuna) operations. My role consisted of operating differentpieces of equipment such as mine cruisers and shuttle cars, bolting on thecontinuous miner, build belt structures and conduct material audits for thepanel deputies.Geological Mapping: record the support level installed on roof and ribs innewly mined sections of the mine, verify that the TARP has been respected,identify new geological features, take telltales readings and input theinformation into AutoCad.Bolting Project: identify time spent bolting around intersections bycomparing live data and deputies' shift reports. Create a pivot table andidentify crews that require additional training/manning.Gap Analysis: conduct a gap analysis of the corporate standards againstour site standards.Condition Monitoring Project: research international and industrystandards, review the Regulations for best practices, visit to everyCentennial Coal's sites, conduct a survey of current condition monitoring.

Short term planning: allocate excavators and trucks to different blocks tomeet the weekly production target.Update the pit diary: update the numbers for overburden moved and coalmined for future planning purposes.Coal quality: ensure coal quality was met.Productivity: analyse production and idle time data to compareproductivity between excavator operators.Work on crew: work with the blasting crew which included loading drillholes with ANFO and setting up detonators as per the drill and blastengineer's instructions.
