I acted as a single point of contact for grant process queries across the matrix managed organisation. This included working closely with the finance, legal, procurement, audit and WWF International teams to ensure appropriate management of grants was being undertaken. Alongside this an important aspect of my work was addressing key focus areas in need of improvement and taking on those improvement projects which included work on Grantee due diligence.

I was responsible for ensuring our processes reflect best practice, that they were fit for purpose, that our grant management system was functioning in the best way possible and that our awards were being held in compliance with our terms and conditions of award.

I was responsible for managing the Royal Society’s annual grant audit programme. I also managed the online grant-management system alongside the Head of Grant Operations and ensured all guidance and processes were kept up to date and relevant. Alongside this I worked with the Senior Manager - Impact and Evaluation on the annual Evaluations of our grant programmes.
