I am currently working for Fortescue Metals Group as a Senior Resource Estimation Geologist. This involves leading a small team providing mentoring, training and support to ensure model schedules are met. Previous to this i was working as a Resource Estimation Geologist completing production models for the Chichester and Western Hub mine sites. I also have experience as a ‘Resource Definition Geologist’ also for FMG and as a ‘Exploration Geologist’ for Mineral Resources Pty Ltd in the Pilbara, which enabled me to gain extra diversity in the industry. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geology and a Bachelor of Commerce, both were completed at Curtin University.My previous experience has given me significant exposure to RC drilling techniques, including management of drill contractors and drill rig safety. I have also been fortunate to gain experience in diamond drilling. This, combined with my RC drill rig experience has provided me with a solid foundation in the understanding of different drilling techniques.My effective communication skills and my ability to work well in a team based environment go hand in hand. My previous employment history combined with the many years of being involved in team sports, can be attributed to my ability to positively collaborate with my peers. I'm always more than willing to assist a team member who may guidance and I am a firm believer in sharing knowledge. I am extremely eager and keen to build upon and diversify my pre-existing skills and knowledge within the field of geology or environment.I always take pride in my work and remain highly professional in all situations. I possess strong and valuable personality traits such as being honest, friendly, efficient and organised. In addition to this I am competent in demonstrating newly learned skills quickly and can successfully perform any task required in a proficient manner thus making me a valued member to any prospective company.
