The insurance and pensions supervision is responsible for the prudential supervision of insurance companies, insurance intermediairies, retirement schemes, retirement funds and retirement service providers. I coordinate tasks of an analytical nature in relation to periodic financial data submitted by the licence holders in line with the statutory obligations emanating from operating licences. I monitor the business performance of licence holders together with their level of compliance in line with the regulatory standards and financial obligations emanating from the Insurance framework. I am involved in both onsite and offsite supervision work.I work in a team of professionals with a varied background and comprises skills relating to insurance, pensions, accounting, legal, actuarial, compliance and risk.

I have occupied the role of a senior auditor wherein the profile of clients I have worked on were majorily from the insurance sector. I therefore specialised in Statutory and Solvency II Audits of both Life and Non Life Insurance clients.In this role I had led audit engagements, mentored junior associates and associates and reported to the manager and partner on the job to close off the audit of the Financial Statement Process and Solvency II Audit.I also participated in learning and education programmes organised by the firm, by delivering training on insurance and accounting related matters.PwC helped me became an experienced senior auditor with a demonstrated history of working in the Insurance Industry, Public Interest Entities and Listed Entities.

Following the completion of the Masters in Accountancy at the University of Malta in 2015, I joined PwC Malta as part of a dedicated team within the Assurance line of service that provides services to Insurance Companies and other financial institutions.

While completing my University Master degree, I was a junior associate at PwC assisting in audits of funds and gaming companies. My tasks also included involvement in a specific tax projects, particularly related to due diligence and KYC.Furthermore, I attended Business Skills Lectures and participated in Corporate Social Responsible Activities.

The main activity is Book-keeping. I perform administrative duties, including registering children, updating the students database system, going through the files checking the correctness of the details and also updating information re school levers. I am also responsible for the process of refunds adopted by both San Anton School and San Andrea School. I compile monthly reports and prepare an Annual Working Report for the Office of the Registrar.I also train new joiners within the Foundation.I also assist in Bank reconciliations, allocations, receipts and in the preparation of the Financial Statements of the Foundation.I also had the opportunity to attend the San Anton School Annual General Meeting every year while working there.
