- Chair of funding and supervisory body for W&M student publications spanning print, digital, and broadcast.- Oversee and allocate a $135,000 budget for 20 undergraduate and graduate media organizations- Communicate with administration and student body government on behalf of media organizations- Serve on the Finance Committee

- Conducted historical research regarding the Williamsburg Bray School, the first school for African Americans established in the U.S.- Researched enslaved children who had interactions with the Bray School in Colonial Williamsburg- Closely examined Virginia Gazette newspapers from the colonial era to research wealthy slave-owning families in Colonial Williamsburg.

- Contributed coding efforts to OpenSecrets' Revolving Door database of government officials-turned-lobbyists- Researched President Trump's new cabinet after the 2024 election and their connections to industry prior to politics

- Edited grant applications in an effort to launch a project that would combat child labor and promote acceptable conditions of work in Tanzania's artisanal and small-scale gold mining sector.- Compared the prices of research databases for nonprofits in an Excel sheet and gave recommendations of the most beneficial database based on the best return on investment.- Developed a component table for a 2 million dollar grant to develop the capacity of defense attorneys in Georgia. This project contributed to the straightening of the rule of law and criminal defense services in Georgia.

- Communicate with our representative at FIRE (The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression) - Brainstorm ideas for the advancement of the organization-Interview applicants-Managed a five-person executive board and a team of 20 advisors-Communicated with administration and student body government on behalf of the organization- CHAP voting representative on the Honor System Advisory Committee which makes more equitable structural adjustments to the college’s honor process

- A highly selective group of student public defenders (capped at 20 students)- Provide advice and support for students facing conduct/honor violations on the William & Mary campus- Attend conduct/honor violation hearings to advise students on conduct/honor code.- Provide counsel and emotional support to students during the process.

- Design and carry out Flat Hat's intern program.- Oversee all recruitment, business, website functions, editing, and fact-checking.- Required to be well-versed in journalistic ethics, reporting, DEI, writing, and editing.

-One of five Flat Hat staffers elected to endorse one ticket for Student Body President-Interviewed each ticket individually -Wrote in-depth articles outlining which ticket is more qualified and equipped to represent the William and Mary student body

Wrote and implemented the Flat Hat’s first Equity Policy in March of 2023 - Investigate complaints made against the newspaper’s journalists by faculty, students, and other institutions. - Educated my fellow Flat Hat staff about the ethics of journalism. - Crafted statements on behalf of the paper to explain the decisions to publish certain articles. - Corrected articles when needed. - Oversaw a team of 10 interns and 4 associates.

- Conducting research for a postdoctoral project on the interactions between victims of human rights violations and the measures state bureaucracies established in (post-)transitional societies take to respond to these harms. - researching gender-based sexual violence in Haiti- Contributing to published paper on Latin American truth commissions- Collaborating with peers on case study research for policy-relevant articles in media outlets

American Congress & Government Intern in the Governance Studies program working under Sarah Binder and Molly Reynolds, Senior Fellows and experts in the U.S. Congress.- Coded presidents signaling the Federal Reserve in the NYT. Presidents included Obama, Trump, and Biden using Microsoft features and LexisNexis.- Coded judicial nominations and whether they were confirmed or not for the 118th Congress using Excel and congress.gov.- Researched details about district and circuit courts to assist Sarah Binder’s research and utilized Stata to do tabulations.- Published a co-authored blog post with Sarah Binder. - Used Excel to find percentages of judicial confirmations in the data and drew conclusions on congressional/presidential effectiveness.- Used R to create graphics and base plots, run objects, and create and manipulate vectors.- Contributed to a 40-year-old Vital Statistics on Congress project.- Clarified methodology on tables that capture budget-related votes in the Senate in the 113th Congress.- Using the CQ Almanac, I analyzed vote tables from past congresses and categorized them based on their substance.- Collected relevant sources and summarized them for a literature review on Congressional effectiveness

- Worked to report, write, and finalize a self-designed long-form journalistic piece focused on the rise of hostile and inequitable architecture in San Fransisco, California, and the communities affected by this recent development.- This research has been fully funded by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting as well as the Charles Center and allowed me to travel to San Fransisco to conduct interviews and research firsthand.- Coordinated nine months' worth of interviews with architects, unhoused people, housing policy experts, urban planners, and lawyers.

Participated in a three-week educational excursion to La Plata, Argentina, to study human rights and international law on the ground.-Conducted field research on sites of memory and use of space before, during, and after the last Argentine dictatorship.- Took copious field notes at 45+ lectures and site visits- Visited numerous sites of memory dedicated to the remembrance of 30,000+ victims of state terrorism- Attended courses taught in both Spanish and English - Talked one-on-one with victims of police violence, the criminal justice system, racism, xenophobia, and sex-based discrimination- Utilized archival materials to complete research

The Office of the Secretary of the Senate is responsible for overseeing the Senate’s human resources, all preservation and conservation, Senate libraries, curation, disbursing, and keeping all congressional, legislative, and historical records.- Completed congressional ethics and cybersecurity training - Reviewed records from the Pentagon and prepared them to be housed in the Senate’s collection - Performed close studies of state newspapers - Created marketing and educational materials for the Senate library - Handled antique almanacs - Had first hand conservation experiences

Selected for fellowship in a seven-credit academic program composed of an accelerated course titled "Representation in American Politics" that involves networking with experts and alums through guest lectures and site visits. Also involves working in an internship at a related D.C. institution.- Completed two scholarly articles which analyzed the current status of representation in the United States - Analyzed 65+ newspaper articles- Collaborated with three teams of three to produce strategic advice for government institutions

-Kept all organization records, records and distributes club meeting minutes, notifies members of upcoming meetings and events, assists in club outreach.

- Monitored a team of 10 volunteers that wrote and implemented our organization's first equity policy to make the organization a more inclusive, accommodating, supportive, and safe place for all members! - Helped to write this policy and other important constitutional amendments.

- Researched legislation passed in other states concerning reproductive rights, elder care, and family medicine.- Attended regular meetings with school board members, city council members, and community organizers, as well as town halls with upwards of 100 people in attendance on the Delegate’s behalf to take note of important issues facing Virginians.- Topics discussed in town halls include reproductive rights, public school curriculum, and gun violence.Communicated with constituents and responded to their concerns on behalf of the Delegate.

- The country’s first undergraduate-led misinformation think tank- Wrote and edited reports, op-eds, and articles about disinformation.- Worked alongside a technical team to support analysis of online disinformation.- Implemented large-scale analysis of Russian media outlets, including Facebook posts and news clips, to determine dominant disinformation narratives.- Published report with Disinfolab in a magazine called The Diplomatic Courier

- Organized/co-hosted anti-racist community outreach virtual meeting to educate youth in Alexandria, VA.- Researched public park history and assembled information databases for future use by local historians.- Managed youth engagement for Councilman Chapman’s office.

- Advised the Alexandria City Council regarding HIV/AIDS policy and its impact on youth- Provided the perspective of 4,000 students to the commission- Communicated with the high school health center to obtain information on the status of HIV/AIDS education

Organized and co-hosted a youth rally with remarks by 10 Virginia Democratic Party politicians. Responsible for communicating with representatives from other Democratic Party youth organizations in Virginia. Responsible for taking minutes during each of our weekly meetings.

- Conducted research on candidate races to create effective and accurate campaign advertisements for the 2021 elections.- Found b-roll videos and images in order to create effective and visually appealing political advertisements.- Documented scheduled shoots and deadlines for advertisements to keep the firm on a consistent editing schedule.- Wrote several short scripts for political advertisements for U.S. House and Senate Candidates
