During COVID, I realized that my current lifepath was not something that I wanted to pursue as a career. I worked my way up to become a manager, a swim coach, and received certificates such as Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Training Instructor from American Red Cross. There was more I could have achieved but I wasn’t as fulfilled as I would have liked to have been. I craved what the world offered, and eventually my ambition drove me to apply for university. I did a degree change to a subject I knew would challenge me and fuel my hard working, tenacious mindset. For my first semester at Cal State University, San Bernardino I was a part-time student while working a full-time job. For my second semester, I was a full-time student working the same full-time job. By my third semester, I had finished an internship at a national laboratory, got accepted to a PhD bridge program, had 2 coding languages under my belt, and had more internship work lined up. I’m excited to share my current life journey with all the colleagues I made along the way and I can not wait to see what the future holds.
