I have dedicated my career to the pediatric population since graduating with a Master's Degree from JMU in Occupational Therapy. Through my various experiences, I've worked with children from six months old through adolescence in a variety of settings including schools, daycares, homes, and outpatient clinics. My primary experience has been working with families in the Raleigh, NC including Morrisville, Cary and Apex.I have received training in Handwriting Without Tears, Visual/Ocular Motor Difficulties, Sensory Integration, Oral Motor feeding techniques, Wilbarger Deep Pressure and Proprioceptive Technique, Therapeutic Listening, and Interactive Metronome. The courses I have taken throughout my career include Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Brachial Plexus Injury and Treatment, and Neurodevelopmental Treatment Handling and Approaches. With my background, I have worked with children of varying backgrounds, needs and diagnoses, including autism, developmental delay, sensory feeding difficulties, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Brachial Plexus Injury, and handwriting difficulties. Each family I work with brings a new learning experience through collaboration to develop home programs striving for success in each environment important for that child and family.
