Very often, people ask me what kind of work I do. My answer is always, "GREAT question."Over my years as a litigator, I have taken on many different types of cases -- personal injury, medical malpractice, construction, product liability, and insurance coverage -- to name a few.Lately, I've been reflecting on why I chose to become a lawyer in the first place. TO HELP PEOPLE. I'm a natural caretaker, and I always want the best for everyone. Often times, I sacrifice myself for the well being of others because it's what truly makes me happy. And so I'm going to feed my soul by focusing my efforts on assisting tort victims to redress their injuries. And the weirder the case, the better. There's nothing wrong with an old-fashioned rear end accident, but I thrive on interesting fact patterns where I can exercise my investigating prowess. Call me crazy, but if nobody's done it before, I'll give it a whirl. And the best part is, my firm has amazing resources and a wide network that can collectively solve any problem or uncover any factual mystery. I'm definitely in the right place learning and working with the best of the best in Connecticut.My personal passion project is serving our veterans on a pro bono basis through my ongoing partnership with Connecticut Veterans Legal Center. The way I see it, these men and women laid their lives on the line for me, so the very least I can do is use my legal skills to assist them. I've tackled benefit appeals, discharge upgrade applications, and a litany of other issues. The mental health of our veterans is also often inevitably intertwined in these cases, and so I actively explore resources for my clients to cope with any adverse health effects they might be experiencing.I know, this sounds like a lot, but that's the way I like it. Variety is the spice of life, right?
