As a 5-year Chemical Officer serving at many levels of an Infantry Division, I’m the professional that everyone wants to know and no one wants to be! I have a go-getter attitude that fits perfectly into the role with an Operations Cell that is made to fill the gaps to accomplish the mission while still fulfilling the individual duties of executive level staff. Being the go-to person to accomplish any task, including those outside my expertise, is under-glorified and under-appreciated, yet I still wake up every morning with a passion for helping others, learning, and expanding my influence.Speaking of passion, I have an undying appreciation for learning new things, and using that knowledge to help others. I have recently focused my studies on returning to school for medical studies, but in the interim hope to seek a job at a smaller scale; whether that be a weekend passion of wine making or regular hours in a clinic, I have the ability to make anyone smile and understand the emotional complexities that often coincide deep conversations and medical decisions.When I come home in the afternoon I am eagerly and excitedly greeted by my 2 year old son, who is the reason I get up every day and strive to help others. His giving heart and innocent mind make me grateful and hopeful for his future, an passionate about my studies to reach my goals. When I’m not playing with him and my husband, you can often find me working out or instructing a local Group Fitness Class! As the mother of this strong-willed toddler, the most important lesson I have learned is: you may be able to lead a horse to the water and even make him drink, but allowing him to learn to drink and why it’s important will prevent you from reaching the same lesson over and over!
