Managing the Automatic number plate Recognition technology (approx. £500,000 in car technology and £450,000 roadside infrastructure). Maintaining service levels to the National ANPR Standards for Policing and Law Enforcement Agencies (NASPLE) and the Office of Surveillance Commissioners Guidelines.Managing customer expectations and building effective and good working practices and relationships with partner agencies, suppliers, contractors. Managing legislation and technology changes and the impact on customers and Force processes and procedures, including threat harm and risk. Ongoing staff and departmental risk assessments in line with health and safety. I represent Wiltshire Police regionally and nationally as Subject matter expert. I ensure that incidents reported are effectively recorded and handled in-line with regulatory requirements, such as NASPLE. Ensuring that faults are promptly resolved and recorded for analysis and reoccurrence. I manage the ANPR budget and associated contracts, ensuring value for money vs fit for purpose. Asset management for over 200 pieces of front line assets which form part of the National infrastructure. Management and implementation of a National ANPR solution. Disposal and decommissioning of End of Service Life (EOSL) equipment. Maintaining a corporate history of all ANPR assets and as associated software and patches. Testing of software patches, new technologies and new process and procedures. Maintaining stock levels, balancing the need for replacement components, analysing what stock to hold based on previous turnover with the constraints of my budget. Building ANPR technologies to the required Wiltshire Police specification. Leading the ANPR team, promoting a healthy working environment through continued professional development and coaching and mentoring. Guiding staff to deliver a strong customer service in a demanding and often time pressured environment with conflicting priorities.

Implementation of data quality assurance and best practice methodologies through QlikView.Query SQL databases via QlikView script for large datasets. Management of the QlikView Servers. Extensive knowledge of current DPA legislation. Data management including data capture, data management, mining, storing, cleansing, Data Warehousing, governance and security. A strong understanding of data quality issues and how these should be resolved and managed. Demonstrable experience of review and monitoring of data and related processes across the organisation where quality data is of critical business importance to making evidence based, informed decision making. Experience of changing perceptions towards data quality within an organisation.
