I have several markets for our AFA self insured product that I am key contact for sales and present market trend information monthly to Sr Sales & Actuary management **Sr UW Consultant AFA small grp level funded renewal team. After 2 years I have had more leadership tasks added and am on a Leadership track being coached by my boss.**I worked at Geisinger Health Plan for almost 16 years. I began my career in Customer Service. In Spring of 2004 I moved to the Rating and Underwriting Services dept as an entry level assistant position. Due to my interest and my educational background in Business Administration I began my climb up the "proverbial ladder". I began underwriting small businesses and was trained how to quote renewal business as well as new business. I then learned the intricate differences of quoting large group vs small group underwriting practices. I also was chosen to provide training to co workers on various topics and was asked to be a part of different work groups for process improvement. All of the underwriting practices were for fully insured. Over the last year I have underwrote small and large group stop loss and TPA groups. I have been in a Senior Underwriting role for over 2 years and continue to build on my current knowledge to make me a more effective underwriter.
