I am a researcher and project manager driven by a desire to contribute to the amelioration of structural inequities and to improve patient health outcomes. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Health Services and Outcomes Research at Northwestern University. Broadly, my research interests include evaluating how system-level characteristics impact the implementation of evidence-based interventions and policies. My dissertation research explores how the type of site of care delivery impacts the treatment of patients with heart failure, including those with concomitant opioid use disorder, and their subsequent health service utilization. As a Senior Program Associate at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), I monitored and evaluated a diverse portfolio, including several multi-site pragmatic clinical trials that investigate a range of clinical conditions, including pediatric rare diseases and opioid use disorder. I also supported the development and launch of several targeted funding announcements. My strengths include the ability to balance competing priorities while still delivering a high-quality product for each task, effective communication and interpersonal skills that elicit diverse perspectives, and an adroit approach to strategic thinking that enables me to learn about new topics quickly and effectively. In addition to my current studies at Northwestern, I earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
