Sarah has spent 30 years in the Telecoms and Technology industry, in Engineering, Sales and Leadership positions for Fortune100 companies. Her most recent executive positions were as CTO, then Global Sales Vice President for Cisco, responsible for growth of Cisco’s market share and global revenue in the SME market. As a Non Executive Director, Sarah serves on the boards of Nasdaq-listed Telia and NCAB in Sweden and on the board of DCC in the UK, where she is also Chair of the Technical Advisory Committee.Her career journey included positions as Software Developer, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, Account Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Director and Leader of Technology specialists for Data Centre, Networking, Collaboration and Software. She led The Internet of Things for Cisco in 2015, when IoT was still an emerging concept and technology, introducing it to Cisco’s UK market and building Cisco’s first IoT practise.Sarah has lived and worked in the UK, Australia, Canada, India, and China, and she currently lives in the UK. Sarah is passionate about helping vulnerable animals, and in 2013, she travelled to the world’s only Bonobo orphanage in Congo in order to found and lead the first UK registered charity to support the Bonobo ape. In 2014, she spent a month living in an elephant orphanage in Zambia, in order to prove elephants could be connected to the internet in order to reduce ivory poaching. While there she completed an on-the-ground technology feasibility study in Africa on how the Internet of Things could help animal conservation, which led to the creation of Cisco Connected Conservation
