About Sarah Eiseman, Cprw, Ccsp

I'm a passionate library educator and information professional with experience in a variety of settings helping job seekers be successful in their search. I bring a unique skill set of Human Resource, Recruiting, and Professional Development experiences to my library work. Because of this background, I created a new program at the Wallingford Public Library in 2020 where I help all types of individuals with their job search needs. From creating a resume for the first time, to interview preparation for director-level positions, I provide one-on-one assistance to people of all backgrounds, abilities, experiences, and industries to gain skills to be able to apply for the job of their dreams. I pride myself on creating classroom experiences that translate into practical skills and knowledge. I provide adult instruction on job-related topics in the classroom, ranging from resume and cover letter creation, to interview preparation and using LinkedIn in a job search. I have experience teaching groups how to use library databases, such as JobNow, in their job search.

This well-received program has helped over 250 individuals of all different experience levels, education, and industries in their job search process. This programming includes resume creation, cover letter and other technical writing, interview preparation, and general search strategies. In 2022, I created a job seeker classroom series focused on topics such as resume and cover letter creation, interviewing skills, and how to utilize LinkedIn or library resources like JobNow in job searches. This program has been well attended and has continued expanding courses based on need, such as Professional Networking and Personal Branding using LinkedIn.
