As supervisor, my responsibilities include management of day-to-day appointment and task flow for the front and back offices while simultaneously fulfilling the role of exam room technician. I helped staff determine the best use of their skills in daily tasks by guiding or directing them towards priority goals while keeping daily goals in mind. I reviewed staff performance for exam room technicians. I took on client concerns and resolved complaints or, when necessary, directed them up to higher management. Utilizing AVImark software, I created monthly reports to the satisfaction of regulatory requirements, including CURES and Orange County monthly rabies vaccination reports. I managed hospital pharmacy stock and oversaw integration of Cubex into daily hospital use.

As an exam room technician, my responsibilities included creating and presenting treatment plans to clients, explaining recommendations to veterinary clients including procedural plans, processing and fulfilling medication requests, and processing lab work.

As a receptionist, my responsibilities included maintaining the flow of communication between veterinary clients and hospital staff, scheduling appointments, maintaining the reception lobby and educating clients in basic animal husbandry and wellness for companion small animal and exotic species.
