Whilst remaining part of the Finance team, I was embedded within the Operations team and was responsible for supporting the process of ensuring that the costs incurred and recovered by the Operations team were managed appropriately and in a timely manner. This involved liaising with Operations staff, contractors and property owners and ensuring a coordinated approach was in place for debt recovery.

As a Senior Auditor, my responsibilities included:- Planning and executing interim audits of internal processes, controls and risks- Planning and executing financial statement audits, prepared under NZ IFRS, for a broad range of clients- Effective time management – ensuring timely completion of the audit, managing multiple tasks and clients at the same time and ensuring client expectations are met- Liaising with the client, senior members of the audit department (managers/partners), as well as more junior staff members under my leadership- Allocating and reviewing the work of team members, as well as providing on-the-job training and feedbackWhilst working at Ernst & Young, Christchurch, I also facilitated formal training sessions for audit team members and completed two global secondments to the Ernst & Young offices in London and Eindhoven (The Netherlands).
