Provision of technical and legal support to new product launches and existing products, including:• Drafting of product literature, drafting of contracts with partners, creation of technical specification reports, provision of tax information in jurisdictions across the EU. • Project management for launch of new products, including planning, organising, monitoring and overseeing budgets across various company departments.• Management of relationships with a broad range of external partners, including legal, fiscal and sales partners. • Analysis of new and existing markets, including legal, tax and competitor analysis.

Ireland

Duties included planning and implementing audit tests on a large multi-national insurance company. This involved running tests of design and implementation, tests of operating effectiveness and substantive testing on areas such as banking, treasury and finance.

Duties included:• Case management for a large portfolio of clients, client handling, research and drafting. • Handling client queries and attending client meetings.• Being the central point of contact for clients. • Giving advice in relation to the introduction of tax efficient financing in the group, structuring intra-group cross-border trade in a tax efficient manner, efficient use of losses/capital allowances and trade transfers.

Tax advice and planning on all taxes including advising clients on:• The Irish tax regime and holding company regime including qualification for the 12.5% corporation tax regime. • Application of stamp duty reliefs. This involves providing clients with stamp duty advice and planning ideas in relation to property acquisitions, share transactions, transfers within corporate groups.• Provision of advice on the tax issues surrounding the purchase/disposal of assets. • Provision of tax advice to clients on their entry and exit to Ireland. • Creation of a Compliance Report for a large multinational insurance company giving an overview and a summary of all aspects of Irish tax laws, in particular all obligations under income tax, corporation tax, payroll taxes, stamp duty VAT, and customs laws.• Employment tax issues for international companies with secondees in Ireland.
