Planning / Master Scheduling of High Speed Telecommunications components. Working withfluctuating yields and planning output based on specific wavelength requirements. These were high value products so inventory management and stock control was a key factor.Using sales forecast information and sales and operations application, my role was to pull together an 18month rolling production schedule. This was a product line based factory and I planned the line form end to end. Communicating to our suppliers accurate forecast information was critical due to the long lead-time and complexity of the raw materials.
