Working at part of the technical team across the Rumenco and Nettex businesses. Responsible for providing technical support within the business group, to merchant staff (B2B) through in-store/online training and customers on farm. Working alongside customers to conduct mineral audits and review rations to address problems on-farm, including formulation of bespoke products where required. Working closely with industry and academic partners to help drive innovation across the feed sector, including providing support to the ‘Dancing with Daffodils’ Innovate UK Climate Smart Farming project, seeking to develop a methane-reducing feed additive from a specific alkaloid extracted from daffodils. Assist with product development processes, co-ordination of on-farm research trials and data analysis. Provide support to the formulations department and assist with quality procedures.

My responsibilities include working at open days, school visits, residentials and other campus events. I have gained a variety of skills including teamwork, public communication and organisation.

Company specialising in the production of animal nutritional supplements. Working both in the office and QC lab, responsibilities included: testing of raw material and finished products, product development, control of stock file, sales, control of carrier collections and answering phone calls. Skills gained and built upon included: technical knowledge of animal nutrition and chemistry, knowledge and understanding of the animal nutrition industry, working to Standard Operating Procedures, public communication and organisation.

My role increased in responsibility throughout my time at the company. The majority of my time was spent working as part of a team at the main restaurant on the railway line. In the final year of my employment I regularly ran a catering kiosk at one of the smaller stations singlehandedly. I gained a wide range of skills including teamwork, working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with the public and dealing with complaints in a professional manner.
