Leading a team of 20+ analysts to provide data-led insights that drive continuous improvement of the GOV.UK One Login service.Responsible for the Reporting Strategy, ensuring a data driven approach to product development, through insightful and robust analysis which creates a better end-user experience and ensures that GOV.UK One Login delivers financial and societal benefits.Accountable for the development of a new Data and Analytics Platform within the AWS stack (utilising tools including Athena, Redshift and QuickSight) and maturing our analytics and dashboards through the development and implementation of a Reproducible Analytical Pipelines strategy.

Responsible for leading the strategy for a multi-disiplinary team of data scientists, statisticians, epidemiologists and social and behavioural scientists to produce high quality data analysis, including predictive analytics.Ensured that insights from the analysis formed a key part of the evidence base for ongoing decisions by the Chief Medical Officer and Ministers on the response to the Covid-19 pandemic.Led the team to develop analytical and research questions about patterns of diseases impacting upon public health in the UK, exploiting public health datasets to provide granular analysis and added insight into patient journeys’ and outcomes.

Built the weekly Test and Trace statistical publication from scratch, negotiated data sharing processes with each organisation, and led a team of statisticians to produce the weekly publication at pace.Lead the team to publish official statistics when the programme launched at pace, under significant political pressure and scrutiny.Fed the work of the team into the No 10 daily Covid press conferences, briefing senior ministers and SoS to ensure that data was being interpreted correctly.

Responsible for setting up the Test and Trace programme’s processes for reporting data and dashboards internally for senior leadership teams (including No 10 and SOS); operational teams (and other key stakeholders (e.g. SPI-M, and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer).Led a team to develop Test and Trace KPIs and metrics at a time when data on the programme was limited, and developing dashboards and visualisations to add insight into the performance of the programme. Built strong links with both policy and data colleagues from across the programme, to bring gather data requirements, and bring together teams who were working on data in silos.

Managed multiple teams, co-ordinating evaluation, quantitative and qualitative projects to support policy and inspection teams.Led the implementation of a new digital platform which improved how we capture, analyse and present data at an organisational level.Actively involved in conducting research, impact and process evaluations, using theory of change to develop evaluation frameworks; rapid evidence reviews and literature reviews. Led qualitative research with victims of crime, police officers and practitioners; and managed the procurement of external research commissions.Senior Professional Lead for GSR, implementing a number of research initiatives, including the establishment of a Research Ethics Panel, and monitoring the adherence to research best practice guidance across HMICFRS.
