Currently, I am a people manager for 9 individual contributors (ChemE and ME) in a manufacturing facing division. My team is focused on process improvement for coal gasification, and methanol/acetic anhydride production. Additionally, I am the technology manager for the acetyl product stream. I handle intellectual property and strategy. For 8 years prior, I was a high-performing individual contributor and technical lead with a diverse understanding of technical concepts. Specific technical concepts include synthetic polymer chemistry (polyesters, polyurethanes, polyacrylates, and polyacrylamides), scale-up from laboratory to semi-works manufacturing (batch lines), manufacturing process improvement, product commercialization and stewardship, and intellectual property. In terms of temperament and soft skills, I always seek ways to win, focusing on the possibilities not failures, and have a willingness to go above and beyond. I am driven to continuously learn which enables me to be highly adaptable. I am talented at communicating the value of products and ideas to internal and external customers, establishing profitable technical and business relationships.
