I have been in education for the last 15 years as a kindergarten, 3rd grade and K-8 technology teacher. During the last six years, my role has evolved from being technology specialist, to director of online education during the pandemic, to now being the director of technology and instructional design at a K-8 private school. My passion is helping teachers integrate technology with their curriculum standards and lessons to make learning as engaging, challenging, meaningful, and fun for the students in my classroom. I am skilled in many technological areas such as 3d printing, stop motion video, coding, digital media presentation, virtual reality, augmented reality, circuitry, and robotics. I also am proficient in Apple, Google and Microsoft educational products. Other products I use in my classroom are Osmo, Sphero, Tinkercad, Cospaces, Piper Computer Kits, Seesaw, Ozobot, Dash/Dot Robots just to name a few. My goal is to find a position where I collaborate and train teachers to design and implement standard based technology rich lessons using a variety of tools to help students become 21st century digitally literate citizens.
