As a software developer, I am working on the CCaaS (contact center as a service) team to design and develop cloud computing for Schwab's voice services. In this project, I have designed call experiences and implemented them using the NICE inContact vendor Studio platform. I am also shadowing the Solutions Architect, leading me to complete projects such as building threat models to identify security risks in existing architecture and drafting Software Architecture Diagrams (SADs) for new solutions in the CCaaS space.

As a Schwab Technology Services Intern, I worked on IVR (interactive voice response) services teams in an Agile environment. I completed two projects as an intern. The first project was one where I pair-programmed with a developer to migrate a service from a SOAP framework to a REST framework. The second project was an individual one where I upgraded the version of a service, added fields to a big data environment, and wrote unit tests for an entire service (where none existed before).

As a Teaching Assistant for a summer intensive Artificial Intelligence course for gifted high school students, I prepared engaging lectures, developed challenging projects, and connected students to both the technical and ethical aspects of AI and its impact on society.

During this internship, I conducted research with a mentor, Dr. Adam Terando, on downscaling techniques for climate modeling in Puerto Rico. This research was presented at the American Geophysical Union 2016 Fall Meeting in San Francisco, NC in the form of a poster. I continued with that study in an independent project focusing on modeling the diurnal cycle of Puerto Rico and how it is changing as a result of climate change.
