About Sarah Grimes

I have recently had a change of course in my career. I now work for a non profit that provides FREE primary care to those is rural East Tennessee, our only requirement to see patients is that they do NOT have any insurance. With this change I am able to help live by our Mission at St. Mary's Legacy Clinic by providing the healing power of Jesus to all. I have been a Bariatric Nurse since 2003 and was one of the first Certified Bariatric Nurses in the country. In April 2016 I was finally able to have a Sleeve Gastrectomy which gave me a new perspective on the care, mentality, and treatment of my patients. I am a supporter of education for patients to help with long term success, prevention of complications, increase in compliance and reducing fear associated with any medical problems. My past as a Bariatric Nurse now helps me in the care of our patients here at SMLC.
