My team conducted third-party Safer Choice reviews of various cleaning and other household products. I served as the preliminary reviewer of proprietary formulation data submitted by companies wishing to have their products certified or renewed for certification. I requested further information on ingredients and chemicals as well as packaging claims as needed, before passing along the formulation information for further review by my colleagues. I also conducted desk audits for these companies to confirm continued compliance with EPA regulations.

I conducted all manual testing on products received for certification testing through the Home Products Certification (HPC) program. Upon receipt of samples, I determined applicable tests to perform and established test plans/timelines, coordinating resources to perform the tests as needed. Following this, I generated a report for the customer with our findings (Pass/Fail). In this role I also wrote or revised internal test methods and protocols referred to during certification testing.
