• In addition to the duties of the Associate Director: Manage the Alumni Relations Officer Manage the Family Orientation program and act as a liaison between the Office of New Student Programs and AFR

• Co-manage and facilitate the planning and expenditure of the budget for Alumni and Family Relations unit• Process applications and then allocate the SPARC funding to faculty members• Develop, coordinate, and implement all events related to the College Advancement Office, including events at the national, regional, local, and campus levels• Manage the Alumni Relations and Events Assistant• Help Chief Advancement Officer, Director of Development, and Director of Annual Giving with overall strategic planning to incorporate events as a vehicle for fundraising• Communicate with major donors, trustees, and prospective donors as to their involvement in events regarding their role as a host or volunteer• Communicate in an efficient and timely manner with other offices and individuals on campus who are involved in producing events, including the Office of the President, Event Services and Summer Programs, Office of Admissions, the Director of Campus Police, and representatives from physical plant, food services, and information technology• Create event text and work with the publications staff as well as outside vendors to prepare the delivery schedule and design of event-related materials, including postcards, invitations, reply cards, posters, event favors, and other promotional materials• Coordinate with volunteers, faculty, administrators, special guests, and panelists regarding their participation in and/or attendance at events, both on and off campus; coordinating schedules, transportation and honorariums accordingly

• Launched and marketed new location for The Black Sheep Café in Holyoke• Networked and outreached with new and existing customers to increase business through both traditional and guerilla marketing techniques• Worked with clients to plan and execute formal and informal functions for up to 200 guests, including construction of the menu, coordination of equipment rentals, flowers, and music

• Organize and execute special events for the community of Holyoke.• Assist in recruitment and retention of volunteers.• Revise and maintain working policies and daily scheduling.• Initiate, develop, and maintain community service projects for 24 volunteers through outreach to non-profit agencies, City Departments, and neighborhood groups.• Aid in preparation of grants and progress reports.
