"Challenges are what makes life interesting, overcoming them is what makes life meaningful"I believe that by consistently challenging myself I have become adaptable, confident, an effective communicator and a fast learner. I believe that this is reflected in my varied careers, skills and experiences. As a Psychology graduate I am passionate about people and research. For my undergraduate degree I conducted a research dissertation on the efficacy of mindfulness based stress reduction techniques. This involved utilising experimental software, SPSS and various Microsoft platforms to collect, analyse and present data. I am intrinsically motivated and enjoy thinking about the applicability of research so this project was fascinating to me. During university I also volunteered for a mental health listening service and in my final year I co-created and lead the German Social Society for German students and language learners.Since leaving university, I have supported individuals with complex physical and mental health needs as a colleague and as a manager. I have created and curated personal support plans for vulnerable people, with 24 hour care packages, and staff whilst liaising with families, third sector parties and relevant health care professionals. I line managed 16 members of staff whom I interviewed, supported and trained in their role. As a member of the management team I also transformed the use of SharePoint so that information was easier to record and access throughout the Fife team.In my free time, I love travelling, learning languages, reading and watercolour painting. I also attend the gym 5 times a week as I find physical challenges as stimulating as mental challenges. I have worked in Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain and travelled Thailand independently. Overall, I am dedicated, flexible and a hard worker. I enjoy using my communication skills by leading, and being a part, of a Team. I am looking for my next challenge and am interested in broadening my horizons so am open to a wide range of opportunities.
