As the first People hire at Steno, I built the People Operations function from scratch in close collaboration with executive and level leadership. During my time with Steno, the Company grew from 40 to 140+ employees. I was the at the helm for many strategic projects including launching and managing our partnership with Rippling PEO, developing a robust two-day on-boarding process for all new hires, writing and implementing an Employee Handbook, as well as developing countless processes to help make sure the function was running efficiently. I worked cross-functionally with teams like Marketing for branding Steno as a place to work, Finance on payroll, and our CTO during our SOCII compliance audit. In addition, helped strategize the development of the People Operations team from a 1-woman-show into an entire department, including Talent Acquisition, IT and Learning and Development. In between all of this foundational development, I worked diligently to help foster a progressive culture of hospitality, accountability, and opportunity for the Company's diverse national team. I worked with managers to help develop and coach their people. I also created engagement initiatives and planned events. Finally, in partnership with Steno's founders and senior leadership, I spearheaded the development of Steno’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, including the implementation and training on this commitment to help ensure everyone felt as if they belong at Steno.
