Coordinate with staff to accession records and archival material. Arrange, describe, and re-house various types of archival material. Provide reference services to in-house staff and external researchers via email, telephone, and in-person inquiries.

Contracted at the Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Art to survey, arrange and describe archival collections. Developed processing plans and described collections using current archival standards. Created XML-encoded finding aids, updated MARC records and used in-house database. Additional contracts included developing a records retention schedule for university records; and, processing a corporate archives collection, which included digitizing archival materials and adding digital objects and metadata to a database.

Provided reference service to faculty and university students by phone, email, Instant Message, and to walk-in patrons. Taught library skills to undergraduate students in one-week visitations to virtual classrooms. Assisted with circulation at the library’s front desk.

Conducted website assessments, including gathering and analyzing both public and client-supplied data of website and email list performance, online fundraising performance, and website usability. Developed and managed audience research projects including online focus groups, web surveys, and email surveys. Developed and coordinated research involving the cooperation and sharing of data of 23 national nonprofits and published in March, 2008: “The Wired Wealthy: Using the Internet to Connect with Your Middle and Major Donors.”

Produced strategic reports analyzing email and web campaign results and providing concrete recommendations for future campaigns to more than five clients. Analyzed client data and produced monthly and quarterly reports on time for nine clients’ online fundraising and advocacy efforts. Enhanced company knowledge base, communication, and strategic direction by leading weekly meetings with ten account staff on topics related to email marketing and fundraising.
