As a software engineer at Power Test I develop the software that allows our customers to interact with their dynamometers. In short my responsibilities include building, testing, deploying and maintain various types of applications in both a on premise and AWS hosting environment. The scope of applications I work with vary from legacy VB6 applications, C# APIs and integration apps and some minor front end work on one of the companies eCommerce platforms (mostly in PHP). In addition to these applications I also work frequently with some of the company's databases, either writing stored procedures in SQL or fixing data if it becomes corrupted.

With UWPD I working in a office and field setting with officers doing anything from writing briefs for the police chief to assisting in vehicle maintenance. I also went on many ride along with officers which has given me a good understanding of how daily field work is conducted. I also wrote safety article's for UW-Madison online new blog.
