Sarah Henderson is a passionate artist, educator, and entrepreneur known for her ability to take on complex, large-scale projects and manage them with precision and creativity. Raised in Montana, she earned her B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies and an M.A. in Integrated Arts in Education from the University of Montana. Sarah’s extensive travels through Latin America and Spain—where she worked as a volunteer, translator, researcher, and guide—have deepened her passion for languages and cultures.With a keen eye for detail and a talent for organizing large events, Sarah has successfully spearheaded numerous projects. As a high school Spanish teacher and founder of the school's travel club, she led fundraising events and initiatives that secured full funding for two international trips independent of a travel company, managing everything from donor outreach and grant writing to logistics and budgeting. In this role, she also coordinated major school events (graduations, proms, field trips, etc.), and led the Ethos program, promoting a positive school culture through various activities. Excelled in handling large-scale events, managing competing priorities, and collaborating with diverse teams. As an educator, she focused on developing cultural competencies and curricula that integrate SEL, art, yoga, and meditation to support student well-being, holistic growth, and positive school culture.In addition to her work in education, Sarah has over a decade of experience in social media management for various organizations, including bands, the University of Montana Global Engagement Office, the VHS Spanish Club, and Jordan Solar. She has planned and promoted events, raised funds through internet crowdfunding and grant writing, and cultivated strong community relationships. Her technical expertise spans G-Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, Procreate, and various photo, video, and audio editing platforms, which she uses to create compelling promotional materials, logos, and digital content.Sarah’s academic pursuits have been equally ambitious. She conducted research in Latin America, culminating in a thesis paper and short documentary titled Linguistic Imperialism in Latin America. Additionally, her seminar work at Bitterroot College resulted in a thesis titled Demonstrating How Identity, Empathy, and Community Are Linked by Storytelling in the Creative Writing Classroom. These projects reflect her commitment to critical inquiry, cultural understanding, and the power of storytelling.
