I am a fresh college graduate from IUPUI with my Bachelor’s in Psychology. My experience as a Support Specialist at Eskenzi’s Mental Health Recovery Center has equipped me with a comprehensive skill set in mental health and direct patient care. In this role, I have developed expertise in direct patient interaction, leading therapeutic groups and activities, and utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to drive positive behavioral change.My skills include providing essential resources to patients, de-escalating conflicts, and applying crisis prevention and intervention strategies. Additionally, I have been responsible for precise charting of patient information and monitoring vital signs, ensuring thorough and accurate records to support effective care decisions.Driven by a passion for supporting individuals within the prison system, I aim to pursue a Clinical Social Work license to enhance care for incarcerated populations. My Capstone Seminar involved a collaborative proposal to improve mental health resources for those awaiting release, aiming to reduce recidivism rates.I am eager to apply my skills and experience to new opportunities in the mental health and wellness sector.
