Teaching students who are deaf and hard of hearing, language, speech, and academics at the Kindergarten and First Grade levels. I also teach the students how to trouble shoot their devices (hearing aid, cochlear implants and FM systems). In addition, I teach the students in a Self-Advocacy class so that they know how to use repair strategies as well as how to interact with their peers and teachers in a socially appropriate manner. My goal is to prepare them for their entrance into the mainstream schools by First or Second Grade.

My responsibilities were to teach students First Grade Curriculum in all academic areas. I also taught the students in the subject of Catholic Religion. In addition, I worked in the After Care program. This entailed planning activities, snack and recess for students after school hours.
