I am a highly motivated and versatile leader with expertise in Agile delivery. I love bringing out the best in teams and figuring out how to drive deeper engagement in the products they build. A few notes about me:1. I take pride in the Agile maturity I have grown in the teams that I work with as a Scrum Master. The core of this is my ability to build a culture of introspection and psychological safety where each member of the team feels heard, understood, respected, and proud of their work. Every team should wholeheartedly believe that challenges are opportunities for growth, failing fast is preferred, and no question is a stupid question. 2. I believe that the best leaders at any level are servant leaders who focus on empowering their teams. Such leaders partner with teams to set goals and remove blockers along the journey, but let the team own the “how”. I have centered my own leadership ethos around this and do whatever it takes to empower my teams to deliver valuable products that they are proud of. 3. As a lifelong learner, I see new ideas and concepts as tools for growth and improvement: therefore in addition to being an Agile coach, I have experience with being product ownership, user experience design, scripting, and data visualization. This has lead me to develop an interdisciplinary approach to solving complex problems for delivery teams and organizations. Just as in real life, you can’t use a screwdriver to hammer a nail, and so it’s essential to have a variety of options in your toolbox. 4. The first few jobs I ever had were retail customer service, so customer experience is foundational to how I approach anything related to work. In retail you provide a service to customers who are also users of your service who you interact with daily. In software development, your customers and users may be different, and so I believe it’s crucial to build communication between these different parties to maximize the value of your service.5. I strongly believe that the Agile focus of delivering incremental value is not limited to software development: in any situation, if you break your end goal into smaller increments of value and tailor your efforts around achieving that value, you can take on anything.
