Sarah Walker is the Chief Operating Officer of Slack at Salesforce, responsible for driving operational alignment and collaboration across our product, marketing, sales and customer success teams to accelerate business growth against strategic priorities and shape the future strategy of Slack. In this role, Sarah also oversees our go-to-market, M&A, data science, growth and ecosystem partnerships, PMO, product and self-serve strategies as well as the Office of the CEO. Prior to Slack, Sarah was the founder and global GM of Salesforce’s private equity practice, where she partnered with leading PE firms, Operating Partners and their portfolio companies to leverage the Salesforce platform and ecosystem to accelerate growth, building the unit into a multibillion-dollar business within Salesforce in under four years.Sarah’s background spans corporate M&A, enterprise sales, commercial operations and corporate finance, with deal experience in every major market around the globe. Before Salesforce, she spent nearly a decade in corporate finance at General Electric and her early career in emerging markets private equity.Sarah holds a double-degree MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, a Masters in Law (LLM) with commendation from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), and a BA cum laude from Wake Forest University (USA).Board experience: voting Exec on Slack Enterprise Risk Committee; served two terms as Board Trustee on His Royal Highness Prince Charles’ Foundation for Children & the ArtsAwards: YPO (2022), Leadership and Grit Award (2018 - Experience Energy) and selected as a UK Top 10 Rising Star (2016 - We are the City, Bloomberg & PWC).
