Hello and welcome to my LinkedIn and resume. I have a bachelor’s in biology and spent most of my life working as a veterinary assistant and zoo keeper. I moved to Norway from the United States in 2019 to pursue a master’s degree in ecology. Here I studied spatio-temporal trends in bat-insect-weather patterns at a boreal forest wind facility along the Swedish/Norwegian border (the first of its kind in Norway) and gained valuable experience in statistics, data collection and analysis and project design. These past 3 years have been extremely challenging and provided a lot of growth personally as I learn the Norwegian language, adapt to a new culture and pursue a job in my field.I am a curious, open minded, highly motivated and engaging team member. I excel at working individually, as well as with a team. My past work experiences in both an office and out in the field; have taught and enabled me to maintain my composure under stress and emotionally/physically tolling environments. Additionally, my work and travels have given me the ability to understand others needs, differences and learning styles. I am empathetic and able to adapt my communication, leadership style and decisions to better serve those individuals I am working with. Most of my background is in the biology/ecology and science fields, but I am also interested in pursuing other fields that may also allow me to utilize my skills: such as in the travel/hospitality industry, consulting, teaching or research with emphasis on data analysis with programs such as R-Studio/IBM-SPSS. I work tremendously hard when presented with a task and consider myself a jack of all trades type of person. I thrive on challenging myself and trying new things. I will not let you down should I join your team. Additionally, Jeg snakker litt norsk og lærer alltid!
