As Head of Digital Marketing I was responsible for the full digital marketing offering at Whitespace, and for ensuring the effectiveness and success of our digital activities in achieving clients’ objectives. I grew and developed a wider team of talented Digital Marketers and Community Managers who delivered goal focused digital marketing strategies to clients and who expertly managed the activation of digital marketing channels and the statistical reporting of this activity.

As Digital Strategist I was responsible for developing and delivering large-scale digital strategies for a wide range of clients, focused on achieving ROI. I was also responsible for developing and evolving our digital marketing services to include new offerings, and selling these in to existing and prospective clients. As part of this role I carried out in-depth analysis of website and digital marketing data to develop strategies focused on achieving conversions. I was also responsible for the direction and implementation of a wider range of digital marketing activities, including SEO and PPC, email marketing, display and social display. As these services grew I increasingly focused on strategy development, growing the digital marketing team to run the day-to-day marketing activation.

I was brought in to develop a dedicated PPC and SEO offering to the Whitespace, selling the new proposition to clients, and ensuring that we delivered a profitable and effective SEM service to clients.The new SEM offering became a staple service, delivering both direct revenue each year and also becoming a key factor in the winning of new business at the time. In this role I also developed our statistical capability and brought a focus on ROI and effectiveness that had wider impact on how we strategised campaigns and built digital platforms across the agency.

As account manager I was responsible for the management of search and online marketing campaigns for clients across various markets and various business types. Largely working with small eCommerce sites I learned quickly that stats drove genuine business results, regularly analysing large amounts of data to improve client ROI and profit. My main responsibilities included the research, build and management of PPC campaigns and the ongoing improvement of client results.This role gave me a love of data that has underpinned everything I do and shaped my career.
