Sarah Winter is a Director of Programs at Community Art Center. She is proficient in Spanish and Italian. Colleagues describe her as "Sarah Winter started at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) as an intern, and was welcomed back to the museum to join The Digital Experience (TDX) project, supporting audience engagement through technology and working in a cross-functional team with staff from technology, curatorial, and learning innovation. As project assistant, Sarah contributed to ArtStories (artstories.artsmia.org), a digital publication that engages visitors of all ages to learn more about the collection through in-depth multimedia explorations of Mia’s highlights and hidden gems. Sarah collaborated in content creation, managed content in WordPress, obtained image permissions, installed and maintained hardware in the galleries, organized public user testing, and helped improve workflows across departments. Sarah is organized, generous, thoughtful, and eager to learn. She is always committed to our project and institutional goals, and takes initiative to find solutions along the way - whether that requires a complex spreadsheet or a screwdriver. It’s been such a pleasure working with her, and I look forward to seeing the change that she creates."
