About Sarah Meyer, Ma, Lmhca

I am passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion, social justice, authentic and meaningful relationships, and mental health recovery. I believe that all people deserve and have the capacity to experience hope, joy, healing, meaning, freedom, and belonging, and I love to be a part of people's journeys toward these goals and needs. I currently work remotely for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, connecting blind/visually impaired individuals to services and resources to promote independence as well as providing adjustment counseling to support individuals struggling to cope with vision loss. Previously I worked as a therapist at Kenosis Counseling and as Lead Call Handler for A Better Way Services, Inc., to support individuals calling the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the local Crisis Line. I graduated with my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University in December 2020 and I am pursuing licensure to become a licensed mental health counselor. I completed my Master's Internship at Ball State University and multiple practica in which I counseled individuals and groups. I have worked as an Independent Living Advocate for people with disabilities at accessABILITY, Inc. (2012-2014) and am passionate about advocacy and equity relating to disability rights. I am interested in counseling individuals, couples, and groups of adolescents and adults with various mental health challenges and hope to support them to achieve healing, hope, and freedom in all aspects of their lives.
