I hold a license to practice psychology in Indiana and am endorsed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP). My professional clinical interests including working with children and families who are survivors of interpersonal traumatic experiences (e.g., sexual abuse). I have rounded training in evidenced-based practices and have training with the following specialized populations: victims of child maltreatment, military families, and infants/young children. The settings of my clinical work include outpatient clinics, pediatric hospital, community mental health, K-8th schools, patient homes, and military locations, My theoretical perspective integrates cognitive-behavioral, mind-body, and attachment understandings of human behavior. I additionally place a strong emphasis on a developmental lens, and like to intervene within multiple levels of patients' systems. The ubiquitous occurrence of adverse childhood experiences calls for a need of trauma-informed health practices. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Intervention for Trauma in Schools/Bounce Back, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. My research interests have revolved around assessment and diagnostic methods, particularly for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Other research interests include school-based assessment, trauma-focused treatment outcomes, and mental health in military families. I greatly value the consultation with other professionals and inter-disciplinary care. I am grateful to have been a part of several teams which led to program development for risk assessment in schools, suicide prevention in military families, and enhancing military family relationships and resiliency.
