Sarah’s career in destination marketing over the past 20 years has spanned the globe, managing marketing, public relations, and events at local, regional and international levels. Starting at the tourist board in her UK hometown Bristol, then as Marketing Manager for Central Coast Tourism and later to represent international destinations including the Kenya Tourist Board and Monaco Tourist Authority. Sarah has a passion for regional tourism and nurturing tourism businesses and has enjoyed mentoring tourism businesses as part of the Visitor Economy Recovery Program. For the past 15 years she has been a judge and mentor for tourism and event businesses entering NSW Tourism Awards, and she has been a Quality Tourism Assessor for the Australian Tourism Industry Council working with accommodation and tourism businesses to meet star ratings and accreditation standards. Sarah also has 10 years’ experience teaching at TAFE and University including delivery of the Bachelor of Tourism & Event Management specialising in marketing and destination management units. Her latest venture is Program Manager for the NSW Tourism Association, managing both the NSW Tourism Awards and Accreditation programs.
