Through Locala's commitment to social value, I established a Graduate Internship Programme in May 2021 and provided 39 local graduates with the opportunity to take the first steps on their employment journey, develop their skills and talents, and gain real-life work experience. I managed the Programme between 2021 - 2023 and provided employability support to current and former Interns.Following the success of the Graduate Internship Programme I established a Mentored Employment Programme in March 2023, to reduce the challenges that those at risk of long-term unemployment face by offering fixed-term mentored placements designed to enhance employability skills and future job prospects.I also deliver a programme of employability activities to local schools/colleges to provide young people with the skills and confidence to enter employment following their time in education.
