I have worked in the NHS at South Tees for over 25 years in various roles. my first position was as a nursery nurse in the onsite Day Nusery looking after staffs children for 6 years, I then moved into what has to be my favourite role of Staff Benefits Officer. In this role I was a trips & events organiser, I arranged day trips, concert tickets, UK breaks, European breaks and Internationally trips for South Tees staff and also for 4 other local Trusts via an SLA. I got to travel and meet 100s of amazing NHS workers.Unfortunately after 9 years I was redeployed and joined the training team to help with the administration and development of the apprenticeship programme.I have been with the team for over 10 years and have gained qualifications and retrained to now be 1 of the apprenticeship training advisors.1 thing I love about the NHS is the diversity of jobs role available to non clinical staff too and this is something I believe needs to be shouted from the roof tops.During this time I have also fitted in getting married and have my 2 gorgeous daughters.
