• I worked on the synthesis of ionic liquids coupled to microwave irradiation as an efficient and selective process to extract metabolites from lichens using different technics liquid nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Karl Fischer titration, and thin-layer chromatography (TLC) coupled to a Camag® spectrophotodensitometer.• I managed several projects related to the preparation, functionalization, encapsulation of various metals and metal complexes, and characterization of different types of nanozeolites for medical applications as an antimicrobial agent, gas (O2 and CO2) delivery system. I used numerous analytical and spectroscopic techniques to characterize the properties of crystalline nanomaterials such as XRD, BET, SEM, UV-Vis, DR UV-vis, and FTIR spectroscopy.• I supervised masters and Ph.D. students.• I actively participated in organizing conferences and was the secretary of the 7th Workshop: Zeolites, Prospects, and Challenges, 27-29 May 2019 in Deauville-France.• Currently, I am in a new challenge working on the synthesis, characterization, mechanistic studies and testing the catalytic activity of heterogeneous catalysts to improve their H2O/ SO2 tolerance for the NH3-SCR of NOx to be used in exhaust gas treatment.• I am a Guest editor in MDPI (Crystals journal).
