I’m a UX Designer, with a background in fashion design, whose curiosity and interest in understanding the mindset of others inspired my journey into user experience design. I am driven to find the best possible solutions to user’s problems. Even outside of my professional life, I love the challenge of a puzzle. In my spare time, you can find me figuring out the best possible route at my local climbing gym or solving crosswords. What sets me apart is…My experience as a fashion designer! My past life in fashion has taught me the importance of:📋 Research: Whether it was looking at the trends, the market, or past selling reports, understanding my target audience allowed me to meet their design needs.🔁 Iterations: Sketching and prototyping may look very different in fashion design, but the process is similar. After conducting research, I would sketch an idea (like wireframes!), get a sample made (prototypes!), and it would be fitted (testing!). If something didn’t work, new iterations were made until the style was right!💬 Communication: In fashion, I needed to be able to explain, verbally and through writing, my concepts to my stakeholders: my team, the bosses, the buyers, the factories, etc. 🤝 Teamwork: Beyond my own team, I also collaborated with other departments, like the tech team and art department, to ensure we were all working towards the same goal.My history in fashion has equipped me with a unique set of skills that are valuable in UX design! I am actively seeking a new opportunity in UX design and I am open to learning about new opportunities in the New York area or remotely.
