Provide pharmacotherapy management for patients in a community hospital setting. Support multiple committees, both locally and regionally, including the antimicrobial subcommittee (co-chair), pharmacy and therapeutics committee (guest member), infectious disease task force (member), and pharmacy clinical practice committee (member). Represent the pharmacy department as liaison to our infection control, microbiology and chemistry laboratories, and palliative care committee. Completed a one-year post graduate experience with educational emphasis in antimicrobial team management, pediatric infectious disease, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and pediatric/neonatal intensive care, internal medicine, nutrition, pharmacy management, cardiology, and oncology. Researched medication discrepancies in recently hospitalized senior patients (co-investigator), completed drug monograph reviews, drug-use evaluations, provided pharmacotherapy education to pharmacy students, pharmacists (including ACPE-accredited programming), nurses, and medical providers.
