I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelors in Marine Biology. The biology and ecology of the world's oldest and most complex ecosystem has fascinated me my entire life. While attending university, I had the opportunity to develop both practical and field work skills through several hands-on courses and through my volunteer work with Dr. Wells’ Shark Biology and Fisheries Lab all while learning about the research and conservation that goes into helping protect, preserve, and understand our oceans.In 2014, I was introduced to scuba diving through school and have been hooked ever since, even going so far as to acquire a minor in Diving Methods and Technologies. I am now a certified divemaster, and was even able to spend a few weeks on the Yucatan Peninsula studying the ecology both above and below the waves. This experience has not only allowed me to see firsthand what impacts people can have on our oceans, but the value and importance scuba diving holds as a tool for protecting and preserving those same waters.At the present I work as an account representative at Smith & Smith CPAs. Our firm is focused on providing tax, startup, consulting, and financial services for individuals and businesses with a focus on personalized help so that clients achieve financial goals while minimizing their tax liabilities.
